A stunning four-acre field of vibrant poppies creates a bold, colorful backdrop unlike anything else in West Michigan. Located at Pleasant Hill Farm in Fennville, this hidden gem blooms for a short window each summer, typically from early to mid-June.

A simplified option for seniors who want a few updated photos. These sessions are quick, relaxed, and perfect for cap & gown, casual portraits, or a small refresh without committing to a full senior session.

Soft spring blooms and light, airy tones. Currently planned for Battle Creek, with the possibility of moving closer to the Portage area depending on bloom and availability.

A simple greenhouse setting with natural light and a variety of plants for a fresh, neutral backdrop. Held at Westside Garden Center in Kalamazoo on the morning of June 20.

Soft sand, shoreline views, and a glowing sunset create a relaxed lakeside session. Held in South Haven, these can be styled however you’d like. Go dressy for a more polished look, or keep it fun and laid-back with swimsuits, playing in the water, or even a surf or paddleboard vibe.

Golden fields and glowing sunsets make these sessions a client favorite. Held at Gull Meadow Farms, these sunflower fields provide a warm, vibrant backdrop filled with rich color and late-summer light, perfect for families, couples, and children.

School photos shouldn’t be a gamble. Skip the messy hair, mystery stains, and outdated backdrops that come with picture day. Get the school photos you’ll actually want to buy and share with family. No surprises, just photos done the way they should be.

Back to School

Warm tones and changing leaves for simple, seasonal portraits. Held mid-October. Please check session details for potential rain dates before booking, as October weather can be unpredictable.

Outdoor holiday sessions with a simple, seasonal setup. Full details will be added closer to the session date. Sessions take place in early November, with digital galleries delivered by December 1 to allow time for Christmas cards.

The process

When mini session sign-ups become available, a booking link will appear directly under each mini session.

If all spots are filled, you will have the option to join the waitlist. This ensures you’ll be notified first if additional spots are opened or if there are any cancellations.

Each booking link will take you to my scheduling platform, usesession.com, where you can:

Select your preferred date and time
Complete the full payment to secure your session
Receive immediate confirmation of your booking

Mini sessions are booked on a first-come, first-served basis and are only reserved once payment is completed. If you are unable to attend the mini session you signed up for, a refund will not be issued; however, your payment can be applied toward a future mini or full session.

After booking, you can expect a series of helpful email reminders leading up to your session (typically around three), which will include important details such as: your session time and location and any last-minute updates

Payment is required in full at the time of booking to secure your spot.
